Tim has worked as a freelance musician since completing the Diploma of Jazz studies, studying with Don Burrows. He has worked as a woodwind doubler, arranger & soloist for 20 years. Tim has worked on such musicals as 42nd st, West side story, The Secret Garden, Burn the Floor, Rocky Horror Show (Australia & Hong Kong), Phantom of the Opera, Chicago, Oh What a Night, Footloose, Happy Days (Horn arranger and Tenor Sax-Cast recording), Hair, Joseph & his amazing technicolour dreamcoat, Leader of the Pack, Hello Dolly, Hot Shoe Shuffle, Grease, Boy from Oz (Tenor Sax, Flute, Clarinet-Cast recording), Miss Saigon, Singin’ in the Rain, Sweet Charity, A Chorus Line, Aladdin (Scotland), Saturday Night Fever, Ballroom ( Recorded Soprano, Alto, Tenor saxes,Clarinet,Flute & Piccolo for C.D.), The Producers, Dusty, Floorplay and “Priscilla- Queen of the Desert” ( orchestrated 5 songs for the show. Recorded Alto, Tenor Saxes, Flute, Piccolo & Clarinet for cast recording). Tim was also a member for 4 years of the R.A.A.F. Air Command Band, Richmond. His duties included playing in the Concert & Big band (Leader for 2 years) & arranging.

His T.V. work included being a member of the Midday Show, and worked as contractor and arranger for the horn section of the comedy show Good News Week. Tim was also a member of the band for Australian Idol 1. Tim’s T.V. jingle credits include Mc Donald’s, Direct Dial Insurance, Beauty and the Beast, Channel 9 cricket theme, ABC’s “The Fat”, N.Z. lotteries, NSW lotteries, Coco Pops, Clarintyne, K.F.C., and Roy and H.G’s “The Monday Dump”.

Tim’s movie soundtracks include Bootmen, The Magic Pudding, The Crocodile Hunter, Hard Knox, Secret Men’s Business, Billy’s Holiday, The Night they called it a day, (Dennis Hopper & Melanie Griffiths), South Pacific (Harry Connick jnr),& The Black Balloon

Tim has formed his own Big band which he composes and arranges for, accompanying artists such as Doug Parkinson, Jim Pugh, Dan Barnett, Frank Bennett, Jeff Duff, Jerry Vander and Don Rader. Tim’s band features some of Sydney’s best commercial and jazz musicians.
Tim is proud to be associated with the Teacher on Tap series having recorded flute on book & C.D. vol 1 & 2.
